Cases
We process our cases according to the code of practice of the Swiss Bar Association.
Power of Attorney
When taking on a case, a declaration of power of attorney is signed by the client.
Fees
When taking on a case, the amount of the fee and the financing of the fee are discussed with the client and agreed upon; we are also willing to provide services based on the law of free legal aid for eligible clients and to apply for free legal aid on their behalf.
Our rates are calculated based on an hourly fee. The fee is depending on the complexity of the law involved and of the case itself. The languages are an influential factor as well. On top of that additional fees may apply relating to the amount in dispute; such would always be in reasonable relation to the fees calculated according to time. Should there be documents in foreign languages to be processed or negotiations in foreign languages to be held, should foreign laws apply or should there be need for specialist knowledge, we reserve the right to increase the above mentioned hourly rate with prior consultation with the client. In our professional capacity as lawyers we are bound to observe professional secrecy unlimited in time and towards anyone; this covers everything which has been entrusted to us in the context of a case by our client. All people working for this law firm are bound by this confidentiality.
